Hi! I’m Amelie.

I was born and raised in Colorado for my entire life and lived in the Denver metro area before moving to Colorado Springs in 2023, but currently I call Madrid, Spain home. I graduated from Saint Louis University’s Madrid campus in 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, a double minor in Marketing and Spanish, and a TESOL teaching certificate. I am also a proud 2025 recipient of the Spirit of the Billiken Alumni Award!
During my time in university, I was a staff writer and assignment editor before moving into the role of Editor-in-Chief for my campus newspaper, The NewSLU. Long before that, I picked up my first DSLR camera roughly around the age of 10 and immediately fell in love. Yet before even picking up a camera, I found my strengths in school to be reading and writing (hence the Communication major).
My specialties tend to lean towards news writing (feature style genres specifically), nature and travel photography and photojournalism, but I am always excited to pick up my pen and camera for just about anything.
Currently, I take my photos between two cameras: A Nikon D3400 and Fujifilm XT4.
If you’re interested in knowing more about my work, or want to collaborate on a project, feel free to shoot me an email or message on social media!
